Hair Must Have Reviews

I have a specific ritual when it comes to my hair. I am always up to try new products, but always go back to my favs. I have thin and typically dry hair, so I am always in need of moisture and volume. I always have people complimenting my hair and asking my how I keep it looking so healthy even though I have tons of blonde highlights which can definitely damage hair. I decided to spill my secrets here in my blog.

First up I mix in my hand a dime size squirt of Pureology Hydrate Antifade Complex Shampoo and Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo for blonde & silver hair. The Shimmer Lights keeps my blonde from turning brassy or yellow and the Pureology keeps my highlighted hair healthy and hydrated.

{Pureology Hydrate Shampoo $29.99}                                       {Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo $8.29}

Next, I lather on Joico K-PAK Conditioner. This thick creamy conditioner repairs dry and damaged hair with it's Keratin Silicone Complex. I have yet to find any other conditioner that hydrates better leaving my hair silky smooth.

After towel drying my hair I squeeze one pump of Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum into my palm and work into my hair from ends to roots. The divine smelling serum works wonders sealing in essential oils and conditioning. A little goes a long way in fighting off frizz in any weather and cuts drying time in half.

Before I start the blow dryer I also spritz Rusk Thick Body and Texture Amplifyer all over my hair making sure to work it into the roots as well. This spray adds the perfect amount of volume and texture to my otherwise limp, fine hair.

*A little trick: When I blow dry I start by flipping over my head and drying the underneath. Then I flip it back when I am almost done and use a round brush to lift hair up while I finish. This also adds a ton of volume. Finish with a blast of cool air to seal the cuticle which adds shine.

Lastly, I spray Kenra Volume Spray 25 all over to finish. This hairspray is the perfect balance of a great hold and yet the hair still has movement. Nothing can beat it.

I would love to know what your go to products are?

Thanks so much for all of those tips! I also have thin, fine hair. At the moment it's almost shoulder length as I've been growing it out, but I'm considering getting it cut short again. Really short.
I usually alternate a couple of different shampoos and conditioners. At the moment I'm using a Kerastase shampoo and the Terax Crema conditioner...but am going to try the joico one you mentioned. I'm always looking for a good conditioner.
Thanks again

Hi! I would like to open beauty salon. Does anybody have an experience in this business? There are too many options in different salon equipment. Could anybody give me an advise? What store is more reliable to buy Portable high frequency and Microcurrent machine for home use. I'm choosing between Advance-Esthetic and Spa&Equipment websites.
